Designed as part of the company’s expansion, Pango’s offices at BSR City Towers span 1,300 sqm and were planned for 110 employees. The brief for the digital mobility services company combined the practical needs of its teams with a welcoming setting for daily interaction, bringing focused work, social connection and leisure into the workplace.
Hagai Nagar Architects organised the layout into team clusters. Open-plan workstations are surrounded by offices for team leaders and meeting rooms. These enclosed spaces serve two purposes: they provide readily accessible support for each team while defining the boundaries between neighbouring work areas. The arrangement creates a clear structure across the floor, allowing people to move easily between open workspaces and enclosed settings for conversations and meetings.
Equal attention was given to the experience of spending time in the office. Collaboration with acoustic and lighting consultants addressed the demands of a busy workplace with varied activities. A generous cafeteria, games rooms and PlayStation facilities were included to make the office an appealing place to gather beyond the workstation.
From the entrance, views open towards the surrounding landscape and the sea to the west. In the cafeteria, a series of timber canopies creates places to gather and introduces a relaxed, beach-inspired atmosphere. Distinctive wall finishes, varied materials and lighting fixtures are paired with curved furniture inspired by Pango’s logo. Together, they give the shared spaces a lively character.
Pango’s identity is also expressed through the interplay between building services and graphics. Blue pipes supplying water to the air-conditioning systems become part of the wall compositions, with three-dimensional elements continuing as two-dimensional lines and shapes. This integration makes branding part of the architecture and accompanies movement through the office.
The design connects the scale of the individual team with that of the wider company. Each team has a defined work area and nearby supporting rooms, while shared social and leisure spaces bring people together across those boundaries.
